ANOTHER RUN IN THE SUN AT 107 DEG.
This last week we decided to take another run in the sun to the west. I found that my camera was not charged up so I didnt get any pictures on the way out. It was 107 degrees on the way there and back. That night it droped down to around 50 degrees.
In the morning we were up with the sun at 430AM. We waited till the sun was alittle higher in the sky standing around waiting.
The road back went thru many steep canyons lined with caves.
We were slowed up by a small traffic jam.... goats on the road, we slowed down and let them find a way out a gate in the wall on the right.
This was a pleasant little valley, most of the residence were out working in the fields while it was cool, all down the road .
The sun was not quite high enough and there was a lot of dust which caused the last vehicle to not negociate a turn and slid off the road. Tom was riding on that side and when the car stopped he was somewhat excited.
Tom directs the recovery, it was only a twenty foot drop but would have caused a difficult recovery. the vehicle was being driven by an new in country soldeir, who is a pretty good guy, and as they say stuff happends. It gave us all a good practice.
These kids were selling fruit along side the road. They were pretty cute.
We were in a slight hurry to make the next stop so we didn't stop.

These two were carrying chickens under their arms I didnt know if they were selling them or just taking them home.
We try to wave at everyone, it gages how the area is, peacefull or tense, its a simple gesture that tells alot. Most kids will wave, the older generations will wave, the 20 to 35 yr group it all depens on if you point the gun at them or not.

I wish that you could do that also. I will love you forever love mom
The pictures look good. Glad no one was hurt when the vehicle left the road. We can't wait to see you in a month.
