Road trip West

This is some of the pics from the road trip West...just outside of Surka Parsa, just across the river on the way to the village

THis is one of the hold overs from when that other army came to visit and didnt stay long...

The boy pictured here was one of two who were bringing in large sheeves of wheat on donkeys, yes we did waive to them and they did waive back.
THis is one of the many views, it was around 106 degrees and there was still snow on the hills in the back ground. Yes we are at the Top of the World in the Hindu Kush range
Ram is one of the Royal Gurkhas that I work with. He is a very professional soldier and you have to be carefull of what you tell him to do cause he will do it and it might not be what you really wanted. sometimes a good thing sometimes not.
This was the site of a traffic accident that we caused due to the police vehicle (the gray Jeep behind) was parked 3 feet from the curb and we had a new driver. It only cut the back fneder five or six inches. then in getting going again we hit a donkey that would not move so we took some hide of him then he moved but his owner was not to happy.

THis is out at the range getting in some good team time shooting at each other. THe Dyna Corp cops (old guys) v/s young army guys... I want to be on their side I saw them shoot and man can they! SSG ALI Chavez is the other guy in the picture.

Here I give advise to Major Coe who has just recently become the new team leader instead of me. He does listen and is becoming a better soldier in the process. not bad for a liberal from California. In green is our interpreture Najibulla, He speaks rather good english, but sometimes the idiums escape him. He is a nice guy overall.
