3 SEP 2006 The rain came down

This is one small sample of the hail that fell on the camp by the time I took pictures most of it had melted in the rain storm. The Hail was any where from 1/2 inch to 1/8 inch and it pounded on the roof like crazy. My Afgan brothers call it "bad snow". Then the rain fell and fell and someone had screwed up the drainage of the valley so the rain backed up. I have a couple of movies on the river outside the backwall of our camp, it was at crest 20 feet over the normal flow. The camp is built on a slope so the lower half got flooded really bad and the rest of the camp settled some.

The dogs around the camp went to the high ground and stayed in a small pack.

the camp flooded but was back in business in short order. Some of the conex's floated but for the most part it was okay. I will put the movie and more pics on a cd and send it snail mail to you all. These pic's dont do justice but you will understand as soon as you see the cd.

Wow....it looks like you guys got sort of wet. Reminds me of when our basement flooded, but Kanien cleaned all of that up really nicely. Hopefully you're staying alert and making sure you eat enough ice cream. Ice cream withdrawals can be horrendous!
